Win a cup designed for space.

How do you drink coffee when gravity isn't there to do the pouring?

Capillary Space Cups were developed to use fluid physics and the shape of the cup itself to guide liquid toward an astronaut's mouth in microgravity.

And now, to celebrate our Coffee on Mars episode, National Coffee Day, and International Coffee Day, Aspiring Martians is giving one away.

Spaceware is the only company producing these ceramic versions of the NASA Space Cup, and they've provided one especially for us to give away to a member of the Aspiring Martians community.

    3. COMMENT on the official giveaway post by tagging the person you'd want to share your first coffee on Mars with and telling us what you'd be drinking.

    One qualifying comment per person will be counted as an entry.

    BONUS ENTRY

    Share the official giveaway post to your Instagram Story and tag @aspiringmartians so we can see it.

    One bonus entry per person.

    Private accounts may be asked to provide a screenshot showing the qualifying Story share if Aspiring Martians cannot otherwise verify it.

  • The giveaway begins on September 18, 2026 and ends on October 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time in celebration of International Coffee Day.

    The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received before the deadline.

  • One winner will receive:

    One Spaceware Ceramic NASA Space Cup

    Approximate retail value: $85 USD

    The prize has been provided by Spaceware.

    The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

  • The giveaway is open internationally to individuals who:

    • Are at least 18 years old at the time of entry

    • Have a valid Instagram account

    • Live in a jurisdiction where participation in and receipt of the prize are legally permitted

    • Meet all other requirements contained in these Official Rules

    The giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by applicable law.

    Employees, contractors, representatives, and immediate family members of Aspiring Martians or Spaceware are not eligible to enter.

    Some countries, territories, or jurisdictions may be excluded if applicable law, shipping restrictions, sanctions, customs regulations, or other circumstances make awarding or delivering the prize unlawful or impracticable.

  • 1. Sponsor

    The Coffee on Mars NASA Space Cup Giveaway ("Giveaway") is sponsored and administered by Aspiring Martians ("Sponsor").

    Spaceware has provided the prize but is not responsible for administering or selecting the winner of the Giveaway.

    2. Giveaway Period

    The Giveaway begins September 18, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time ("Giveaway Period").

    Entries submitted after the Giveaway Period will not be eligible.

    Sponsor's determination of the time an entry was received will be final.

    3. No Purchase Necessary

    NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

    Making a purchase will not increase an entrant's chances of winning.

    4. Eligibility

    The Giveaway is open internationally to individuals age 18 or older, except where prohibited or restricted by applicable law.

    Entrants are responsible for ensuring that participation is permitted under the laws applicable to them.

    Sponsor reserves the right to determine eligibility and to exclude entries from jurisdictions where administering the Giveaway or awarding, shipping, or receiving the prize would violate applicable law or impose unreasonable regulatory or logistical requirements.

    Employees, contractors, representatives, and immediate family or household members of Sponsor and Spaceware are not eligible.

    5. How to Enter

    During the Giveaway Period, an eligible entrant must:

    1. Follow @aspiringmartians on Instagram;

    2. Like the official Coffee on Mars Giveaway post; and

    3. Leave a comment on that post tagging another Instagram account and answering the question of who they would share their first coffee on Mars with and what they would be drinking.

    Completing these requirements constitutes one entry.

    Limit one standard entry per person.

    Entrants may receive one additional bonus entry by sharing the official Giveaway post to their Instagram Story and tagging @aspiringmartians.

    If a Story share cannot be viewed because an account is private, Sponsor may request reasonable evidence of the qualifying share.

    Automated entries, duplicate accounts, fake accounts, spam entries, entries generated by bots, or attempts to circumvent the entry limit may be disqualified.

    There is no requirement to purchase anything, listen to the Coffee on Mars episode, subscribe to another service, or provide financial information.

    6. Prize

    One eligible winner will receive one Spaceware Ceramic NASA Space Cup.

    Approximate retail value: $85 USD.

    Only one prize will be awarded.

    The prize is provided as-is and cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash, or substituted by the winner.

    If circumstances outside Sponsor's reasonable control make the advertised prize unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate value where permitted by law.

    7. Winner Selection and Odds

    Following the end of the Giveaway Period, one potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries, including eligible bonus entries.

    The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

    8. Winner Notification

    The potential winner will be contacted only by the official @aspiringmartians Instagram account.

    Aspiring Martians will never ask a winner to provide a credit card number, banking information, payment, or fee to claim the prize.

    The potential winner must respond within 48 hours of the initial notification.

    Sponsor may request reasonable information necessary to verify eligibility and arrange delivery of the prize.

    If the potential winner does not respond within 48 hours, cannot be contacted, is determined to be ineligible, declines the prize, or cannot legally receive the prize, Sponsor may randomly select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries.

    9. International Shipping, Customs and Taxes

    Sponsor will arrange standard shipping of the prize to the winner where reasonably available and legally permitted.

    International winners acknowledge that delivery may be subject to customs procedures, import restrictions, duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage charges, or similar fees imposed by the winner's country.

    Unless otherwise required by applicable law, any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or other government-imposed charges associated with receipt of the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

    Sponsor is not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities, carriers, or circumstances outside Sponsor's reasonable control.

    If the prize cannot legally or reasonably be shipped to the selected winner's jurisdiction, Sponsor may select an alternate winner.

    10. Publicity and Submitted Content

    By entering, entrants acknowledge that their Instagram username and public Giveaway comment are publicly visible on Instagram.

    Sponsor may share or repost public Giveaway comments, usernames, or Story mentions in connection with promoting, administering, or announcing the results of the Giveaway, subject to applicable law and Instagram's functionality.

    No entrant transfers ownership of their original content to Sponsor merely by entering.

    Where required by law, Sponsor will obtain any additional permission necessary before using an entrant's name, likeness, or content for unrelated promotional purposes.

    11. Conduct

    Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify an entrant who attempts to manipulate the Giveaway, interfere with its administration, submit fraudulent entries, impersonate another person, use automated entry methods, harass other participants, or otherwise violate these Official Rules.

    12. Changes, Suspension or Cancellation

    If fraud, technical failures, platform outages, legal requirements, events beyond Sponsor's reasonable control, or other circumstances materially affect the integrity or operation of the Giveaway, Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to modify, suspend, extend, or cancel the Giveaway.

    If reasonably possible, any material change will be communicated through @aspiringmartians.

    13. Instagram Disclaimer

    This Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.

    By participating, entrants acknowledge that Instagram and Meta are not responsible for the administration of the Giveaway or fulfillment of the prize and release Instagram and Meta from claims arising directly from participation to the extent permitted by applicable law.

    Entrants must comply with Instagram's applicable terms and policies.

    14. NASA Disclaimer

    This Giveaway and Aspiring Martians are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or affiliated with NASA.

    Use of NASA-related terminology or imagery in connection with the Space Cup is descriptive and does not imply NASA's endorsement of Aspiring Martians, this Giveaway, Spaceware, or any participant.

    15. Spaceware

    The Space Cup awarded in this Giveaway has been provided by Spaceware.

    Unless otherwise expressly stated, Spaceware is the prize provider and is not responsible for administering the Giveaway, determining eligibility, selecting the winner, or operating Aspiring Martians.

    16. Privacy

    Aspiring Martians does not require entrants to submit an email address, mailing address, telephone number, or other private contact information simply to enter.

    Information necessary to deliver the prize will be requested privately from the selected winner after eligibility has been confirmed.

    Any personal information collected from the winner will be used for Giveaway administration and prize fulfillment and will not be sold or added to a marketing list solely as a result of winning.

    17. General Conditions

    Participation in the Giveaway constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules.

    If any provision of these Official Rules is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

    Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to exclude or limit rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
